It has been an interactive and inspirational eight weeks of UX/UI Design Learning at DesignBoat School. After 4 weeks of UX learning, stepped into UI that’s my personal favourite part of User Experience Design. Started working on wireframes on fifth week. I was so excited to caricature the wireframes. running round a collection of layout design students, seeing their ideas drift felt very exciting. were given my wireframes tested by my mentor and i was approximately to start high-fidelity wireframes.

Just whilst i used to be thinking the whole thing is great, Covid-19 second wave got here like a tsunami. Even before lockdown DesignBoat school determined to shift all offline batches to online because it’s a rely of protection. I was a little upset because i simply loved offline classes, but as they say “Swim with the tide”. Today i am satisfied they took that call way early before any of us suffered.

This was my first illustration on Adobe XD after we shifted to online classes. You can also find this on https://www.instagram.com/p/CNzNQnaATvr/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet

I made appropriate friends throughout offline lessons and it is nevertheless continuing. The simplest difference is that instead of face to face it is display screen to screen interaction with my classmates and mentor. I individually don’t like online classes, but this time i decided i’m able to trade that mind-set of mine.

First factor i changed was my work desk. It’s my favourite place as i spend maximum of my time there. I brought few sketches and plants on my desk, as quickly as I observe the table it motivates me to start working.

I could break few of the stereotypes i had regarding online classes

Online classes make me feel lazy

I challenged my self not to procrastinate my work. I started spending time wisely as there’s no need to travel to class.

There may be greater interaction and guidance with mentor, who can hold me accountable during offline class

Mentor is a mentor. Be it online or Offline. A mentor will usually be completely conscious how to make things work for every student. Maybe it is approximately simply finding a right mentor. I am glad i discovered a splendid mentor at DesignBoat.

So let’s see how i utilised my time accurately after online classes started

The thirst for gaining knowledge and exploring led me learn and develop higher. I strongly trust even though we’ve got time, if we do not have that thirst to learn and explore then there’s no use. I started out exploring Adobe XD, i love the way it felt very natural to me. With regular exercise every click on felt clean and easy. I began illustrating on Adobe XD, seems it is getting interesting everyday

I may not have achieved my goal yet, but at this very moment I feel I have done the right thing choosing UX/UI design over my previous field (development).

I may not have reached my goal but, however at this very moment I feel i’ve achieved the right aspect deciding on UX/UI Design over my preceding field (UI development).

So, i would finish it by concluding it is now not about online and Offline classes. It’s approximately you and your passion to Learn. Stand up, encourage yourself , Push yourself we all will reach heights.

I’m very keen to realise how you guys are mastering the art of online classes. So hit me up if you got any. Glad to connect.
